Frequently Asked Questions

What is the Oyi Medical Card ?

The Oyi Medical Card is a Medical Savings card specifically designed to pay only for doctors and medication (it's accepted by doctors, pharmacies, paternity tests, specialists, blood tests, x-rays and many more).

The card is 'ring-fenced and locked' for medical purposes to eliminate the risk and temptation of using it for unintended purposes.

Oyi gives you the peace of mind to save towards medication knowing that your card may not be used for anything other than to pay for medicine and doctors.

Do I need the Oyi Medical Card ?

Does your medical-aid run out or exhausted?

People without medical-aid have a fair chance of accessing quality medical facilities by visiting private doctors and buying medication directly from the pharmacy as and when they need without the frustrations of the public health system or worsening the condition when delaying treatment.

Medical-aids often get exhausted way before the year is over and because living continues, and so does the risk of getting sick. That is where the Oyi Medical Card comes in handy. You can also use it for co-payments.

The Oyi Medical Card lets you put money away and use it only to pay doctors and buy medicine. This provides flexibility to prepare for unforeseen medical expenses while it also complements a typical medical-aid.
